Later Evan would reserve his right to get pissed about Randy thinking -even for a moment- that he would actually cheat on him, but at that moment in time he was trying to stop Randy from leaving the room. He had heard tales about what Randy had done in his younger days to the people he deemed were messing around with the people that meant something to him, and he really didn't want Jack's hospitalisation on his conscience. It was times like that when his smaller stature was a blessing and a curse-- a blessing in that he could slip between Randy and the door, a curse because even then he didn't seem to be making much of an impression to prevent the other man from leaving outside of just getting in the way of the door. "Stop it-- Randy, stop it--!" Evan was trying to beg and command, but he knew that when Randy got like this he was hard to reach.
There was a part of Evan that wanted to call John, knowing the older man knew how to handle this situation, but immediately he pushed the thought away in anger; he was Randy's lover and they had weathered this situation together before, and he could damn-well do it again. "Don't you see?" Evan grunted as he pressed all of his weight into Randy's lanky form, cursing the powerful thighs that were locked in a stance that rendered him almost immovable, seeing the rage and hurt in those eyes. Randy wasn't as untouchable as people seemed to think... he was as caring and vulnerable as anyone, and even though Evan knew there was absolutely nothing for Randy to fear with regards to Evan's feelings for him wavering, Randy would need that reassurance. And Evan would give it-- just as soon as he had calmed the other down and taken all thoughts from homicide from his mind.
"Baby, please!" Evan finally managed to shove Randy backwards from the door, locking his own stance of reflex when Randy's jaw set. Although his lover had never hit him (well, not in any serious manner, only when they were in the ring together) Evan didn't want to provoke the other into lashing out; Randy would hate himself for it later. "Baby, Rand, just listen to me, Ok?" he approached the other slowly, reaching up and placing his hands on the other's strong chest and pushing him to sit on the bed. Randy was tense and stiff in his movements but not offering any real resistance as he went.
Standing before Randy, hands on the other's face making sure Randy was looking at him, imploring that his words would get through, "Randy, I love you. I love you, notJack. I didn't ever love Jack, I know that now I know what real love feels like. He's pissed and he's just trying to make trouble, he's just trying to cause us to fall out." Jack hadn't been that keen on him, Evan was sure, to actually want to ruuin their relationship, and even if Randy did dump him Evan was not about to go running back to the blonde. "I love you," Evan repeated, quietly but firmly, "I'm not going anywhere unless you're with me. I don't want to be with anybody but you."
