So since it's a semi original story I can't think of anywhere else to put it, so I'm putting it here. I say semi original because I have gotten ideas from shows, but I changed them up. Feel free to leave comments!! Slash and hetro parings.

Chapter 1
Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well ~Josh Billings
As I stared at her seemingly lifeless body, I knew this couldn't be her. She was healthy and strong. The woman lying before me in a coma was not Jackalynne O' Wriley.
"Miss you are going to have to leave. Visiting hours are over," a nurse said.
I nodded in recongnition. I left and walked outside to the car where Lance was waiting for me. He had his arm hanging out the window. I could see a ciggaret burning in his hand.
"Those things'll give you cancer." I told him as I got into the front seat.
"We all gotta die sometime." He replied, blowing smoke in my face.
He put the ciggaret out and tossed in out the window.
"Your not supposed to smoke at hospitals anyways."
He chuckled. "How'd it go?"
I rolled my eyes.
"I just visited the closet thing I've had to a mother since I was sixteen. The woman just happens to be in a coma. Then here you come along and ask me how it went? Well it went crappy. That's how it went." I said, staring out the window.
"Look Star, I know your upset, but that's no reason to take it out on me," Lance replied.
"I know I'm sorry." I said.
He kissed me on the cheek before starting the car.
"Where do you wanna go?" He asked me with a goofy grin on his face.
"Anywhere but home."
''Damien's it is." He drove off.
He pulled up along the curve infront of a small house with an oak tree in the front yard.
As we walked tward the front door I heard the tree giggle. I stopped and stared at it.
A girl, who was upside down, poked her head out from behind some leaves.
"Hello Star." Kanako said, the bright orange streaks standing out among the leaves of the trees.
"Kana get down from there, you'll get hurt." He called from the open window.
"Don't worry Damien. I'll be fi-," She was cut off as she fell out of the tree.
Damien rushed out of the house.
"Are you alright kid?" Lance asked.
She busted into a fit of giggles. Lance looked at Damien.
"I think she might have hit her head." He told him.
"I'm fine." She said once she stopped laughing. She stood up and brushed herself off.
"What are you baking?" I asked, noting the floor on his pants.
"Apple pie." He replied proudly. "Would you like to come inside? It should be ready in a few minutes."
Lance and I both nodded. We followed Damien into the kitchen.
"Is she getting any better?" Damien asked as he fixed us coffee.
"No," I replied. "They think she might be getting worse."
"That car wreck was a real tragity. They really shouldn't let idiot alchoholics have a drivers licence." Lance said agrivated.
Damien nodded in agreement as he set coffee down in front of us and milk in front of Kana.
