"Now wait just a goddamn minute," Kyle insisted, pouting because Stan and had let him go, and also because he had herd what was on the other's mind. He htought that maybe Stan might have these ideas, that he wasn't good enough because Kyle was the perfect student and son. And to be honest Kyle was just waiting for this fact to veer it's ugly head. THere was really no proper way to handle this. If he said that his mother wouldn't think Kyle was settling for less, he'd be lying.
But he supposed it didn't exactly matter what his mother thought in that respect. "Who said anything about breaking up? And since when have I been too good for you? I think you're forgetting that all your friends think I'm a total nerd. And that if I was a girl they'd probably be making fun of me to your face but since we haven't come out of the closet they hadn't had the chance yet. And besides that, at least you've gone to parties. I spend my nights studying. And I've never been as coordinated as you."
Kyle sighed, and looked up at Stan a bit more gently and teasingly. "I'm flattered you think that... but you should know that you've never sounded stupider. I love you, dumbass. Now get back over here; I'm cold without you."

"Yeah, okay. I love you, too, douchebag," Stan answered just as teasingly. He caved easily, wrapping his arms around Kyle's waist. "It's just you said that you didn't want your mom pissed and if she thought we shouldn't be together there'd be a reason for it-- that sounded a lot like break up talk, dude." He sighed softly and stopped his explanation there. It didn't matter that much.
He tugged them closer together and slid one hand up Kyle's back to thread his fingers into his hair. "For the record, my friends only make fun of girlfriends to guys' faces when it's not serious. Once it's an actual relationship, ragging on them's sort of asking for a fight. And when my friends find out about us, they'll know I'm in love with you right off." He smiled, leaning forward. "So if it makes you feel better, they'll rip on you behind my back," he said as joking reassurance. He pressed another lingering kiss against Kyle's lips. "Warm enough now?"

"Took you long enough." Kyle joked and wrapped his arms around Stan's neck. "And I don't care about how your friends make fun of me. They get on my nerves even though I don't have a reason for hating them this much." He laughed and leaned his head into Stan's hand.
"You should watch your fingers." He smiled lopsidedly and giggled. "The curls don't exactly like being touched, and if you don't listen to them, they turn carnivorous." Kyle's hair had calmed significantly, but the tight twirls of bright red hair still remained. However the Jew had dedicated his entire adolescent life to finding a way to straighten or at least calm his mane and his discoveries were the reason for his calmer hair. The second rain touched his hair, the curls spiraled back to the mess they were when he was a child.

"That's too bad, I like your hair," Stan said. "But it's probably harder to dance if I can't hold you." He withdrew his fingers with over-dramatic carefulness, as though truly afraid of being bitten. He let his arm wrap around Kyle again, enjoying their mutual embrace. It almost bothered him that Kyle disliked his friends, but not enough to say anything; he knew well enough that no matter how much he liked the guys on his football team, it wasn't a life-long friendship. He doubted any of his connections to this town outside of Kyle would live past high school. Kyle, meanwhile, was someone he was sure he would spend the rest of his life with.
"Kyle, um...," he started instead, as he thought about how comfortably they were tangled up in each other, and how long they would be like this. "Maybe this isn't something you talk about first but uh. Do you think anything's going to happen tonight? Or, do you want it to? Since it's prom and everything...." he trailed off uncomfortably. It seemed strange to broach the idea of sex in even an abstract way. He was perfectly fine with touching Kyle, loved to kiss him more than anything, but there was a large gap between what they had done and losing their virginity to each other.

"Stan... please don't put all this pressure on me." Kyle pulled away from the other slightly and untangled himself. He loved Stan, a lot and he did want to spend a moment like t hat with him, especially giving him that first time that no one else would ever be able to have. But... all of that tonight? It was scary to think about.
"I don't know." He crossed his arms and nibbled his lip. He felt awkward, and he wasn't exactly sure what to do in response to Stan's question. He couldn't say no, because he wasn't sure. "I just don't think planning it is going to work out well. And what about your parents? I mean, I know I don't have experience, but it's kind of a loud thing. What if they hear us and walk in? That would be the worst possible way to come out."

"It's not pressure," Stan objected automatically. "We don't have to." He shrugged his shoulders. The solution to avoiding his parents seemed logical enough; either doing it before they went back to his house or forcing themselves to be as quiet as possible after his parents went to sleep. He didn't entirely want to explain his thoughts on that-- or anything else about the possibility of sex for that matter--, afraid that the more it was discussed the more he'd make Kyle think it was something that needed to happen tonight.
"We can wait until we're married if you want." He smiled and gingerly touched Kyle's shoulder, half-expecting the other boy to pull away again. That almost seemed the best option, if they didn't want to worry about their parents for one reason or another, he thought to himself idly. He froze as a thought dawned on him. "When we do come out, let's pretend it's a new thing, like I asked you out the day before we told them or something. I don't want your mom to think we've just fucked every time we've hung out."

"Yeah, I think that's best, because I know that's exactly where my mom's mind is going to go." Kyle said with a bit of a smile. It was sort of funny in a way... they really never did anything even questionable. If anything they had one of the most innocent relationships in the high school. "Maybe we don't have to wait to get married. I mean, the dorm I'm going to in college only has one other roommate. If you're that other roommate then we can do whatever we want when we want to."
He paused a second. "I don't know if I want to wait those two months though."

"Well, we'll just wait until it feels right." Stan laid back on the bed, lying at a bit of an angle to avoid hitting Kyle with his legs. He was glad that they didn't have to do as much to get ready as they would've had to had they been girls; it was nice to be able to hang out. "If you don't know right now we shouldn't tonight, though."
After a moment's thought he elaborated, figuring it would be hard to be absolutely certain with something so huge and new, "I mean, if you think you might regret it or something.--I don't know when I want to, either, but I know I won't regret it." He smiled and stretched out his arm, gesturing for Kyle to lie beside him. "Come here, I want to hold you a bit more before we get going."

Kyle grinned and wriggled into Stan's arms. He placed his head right below the other's chin, and wrapped his arms around his waist. He really did love Stan, and he couldn't think of regretting anything when it came to him. But then again, sex was a huge step and he wasn't sure he was ready to take it at all. But he new that he wanted to take it with Stan; his best friend.
He pressed his lips to Stan's cheek and kissed him softly. "I don't think it would be something I'd regret. I just know that it will hurt. And I know it's something we can never go back from. So I want to make sure that everything and everyone is ready for it." He took on a teasing smile. "You're not that big are you? I mean, I don't want to be bleeding for hours." He blushed at his dirty attempt at a joke but laughed all the same.

"No," Stan assured, rubbing Kyle's shoulder. "I'll make sure you don't bleed," he said sincerely, before teasing, "Dude, if you did I'd pass out; you know how squeamish I am. It'd be the worst first time ever." He held Kyle closer and ran his fingertips over the back of the other boy's neck as he contemplated all the things that could ruin something that should be magical.
"It shouldn't hurt, either. At least, not much." He felt his face heat slightly. He was somehow more embarrassed by the ideas that ran through his head now than the thought of real sex. He voiced them anyway, tentatively, "Maybe we're skipping ahead too much. I could just use my fingers on you for a while. Like, regularly. So we could build up to it."

Kyle flushed the lot of his hair and hid his face behind his hands. Oh God, Stan was talking about fingering him? Well , he couldn't say that he disliked that idea. In fact it was stirring a curious feeling in his nether regions. But still, talking about something so awkward out in the open was embarrassing. Especially when Stan was talking about touching him in a place no one ever had. Hell, even the redhead felt guilty when he touched that spot.
"Dude, please. Can we not talk about this? I love you, and believe me, I'd love to do that but... I don't get how you're so open with all of this. And anyway, I think your parents would definitely hear that. I'm not exactly," He groaned as he tried to word his thoughts. "Um. I'm a bit loud."

Considering everything else he had said, Kyle probably hadn't meant for his last sentence to be arousing, but Stan couldn't help that he thought it was. He flushed and relaxed his hold on Kyle slightly, not wanting to think of them pressed against each other too much. "I just thought if we're going to think about doing...anything, we should be able to talk about it."
He re-tightened his hold on Kyle when he knew it would be innocent enough. He considered other topics of conversation. It was getting awkward, he had to admit, especially with both of them so uncertain of actually going through with anything. "What're you wearing to prom? Can I see you in your suit now, or do I have to wait?"

"No way, dude! It's a surprise! Anyway, I still haven't decided on the details yet." By details he meant the yarmulke that his mother would undoubtedly make him wear. Kyle loved his religion, but he didn't like pinning a hat that only brought his curls (and differences) to everyone's attention. "What if I came in a dress? Then what would you do?" He was obviously joking. "Wouldn't it be funny if I did, and Wendy and I wore the same thing? Then you'd have a Jerry Springer show in the making."

"Guess all I could do is watch you and Wendy beat the shit out of each other then," Stan replied, smiling as he played the scene out in his head. It'd be an interesting prom, at least, with Kyle and Wendy duking it out while the rest of the class ooh'd and ahh'd, screaming as Jerry tried to keep order.
"I'd still dance with you," he answered more seriously a second later. Then, teasingly, "You'd look good in a dress. You have the ass for it." Though he was joking, it was true that he thought Kyle would look attractive in anything. He ran his foot over Kyle's pant leg and added, "You'd have to shave your legs, though."

"Shut up Stan," Kyle slapped him playfully when he mentioned that he had the ass for the dress. In all honesty he knew it was a compliment, but it was still a bit embarrassing to hear. "And who says I don't shave my legs? You wouldn't know."
He smirked at his boyfriend and raised the ankle of his pant leg as seductively as one could with showing such little skin. "I guess you'll just have to ravish me to find out."
