Arching a brow slightly at the other's response he supposed he shouldn't have been surprised by the mild temper; Kyle was one of the angriest people he knew when you pushed his buttons the right way, especially though when he was being defensive. "I was just asking... and for the record that makes me sound as though I flit between sexualities all of the time," he frowned a touch.
"You're the only guy I've been with, you know that, and Wendy's the only girl I had been with..." despite the so-called popularity Kyle was always going on about. "And you're going to be the only guy I've ever been with," which, technically, Kyle couldn't say because he'd been with Kenny first. "I'm not just gonna wake up one day and not love you anymore, that just doesn't happen." And he wasn't even going to start that his parents had been a lot like that.

"You keep saying that, Stan, but it happens to so many people. You should know that." Kyle replied but even as he said it he knew that he was wrong. They weren't 'so many people.' What they had was far too strong to break that easily. Stan loved him, and Kyle would give up anything for the other. They had been friends all their lives, and taking a step to being a couple just meant that Kyle could love him in a different and new way.

"You know if they look up the phrase glass-half-full there's going to be a picture of your face with it," Stan rolled his eyes, "For once can you not just overthink and assume that something bad is always going to happen? It's fine. We're fine, and we're going to keep being fine." Besides, even if they did break up as a couple (which he highly doubted) there was no reason as to why they couldn't just go back to being friends once more again.

"Is that a promise or a threat?" Kyle smirked and tried to lighten the conversation. He knew that he sometimes took things too negatively. But he had to say that Stan did as well, just that he could hide it better. "But we're going to be better than fine, Stan. We have to be." He laughed slightly, "you just have to promise that you're always going to kiss me. We can work through everything else."

"Maybe I should just record myself saying the same things to you so that when you have these moments you can just play it and I don't need to say them to you?" Stan arched a brow and then shrugged, "Well sure, I promise. Again." He yawned and stretched before exhaling, "Come on, we should head down and have something to eat, besides, I'm thirsty. Oh, and does Kenny know you're his cover in case?"

"Oh, shit," Kyle dragged a hand across his face. It had completely slipped his mind to get Kenny to cover up for him. He doubted that his mother would actually track him down, but if Kenny had one of those nights where he showed up at their house and asked to spend the night due to his parents, then it would be obvious Kyle was ditching. "Should I let her know?"

"I think you should at least text him..." then at least if he turned up there (although it would be annoying for obvious reasons) it would at least cause less trouble than him turning up at Kyle's house. "I mean, we can do without you being banned from seeing me until the day we're due to leave." He'd go stir-crazy without the other same as he had when he'd broken his ribs.

"Fair enough," Kyle groaned, and typed a quick text to the other boy, informing him of his part in the lie and then thanking him extensively for his cooperation even if he hadn't agreed ahead of time. "Is that your way of trying to say you'd miss me?" Kyle flirted, "or just my wonderful ass?"

"If I said just your ass would you stop speaking to me?" Stan asked somewhat glibly since he knew that even though such a comment was complimentary in its own way Kyle would likely get offended. Still, he started it and Stan was only kidding; he liked seeing the other's reactions to things.

Kyle didn't even have time to smirk before he smacked Stan's arm lovingly. He knew the boy was teasing him, and part of him was happy that Stan had never lost his playful composure. "I knew it," he then bumped Stan with his own hip and wiggled his bottom before smirking at the other.

"Well, yah did ask me, yes sirree," Stan had no idea where the stupid voice was suddenly coming from but what the hell? Maybe he was still internally panicking about the thought of leaving South Park and going off into the world (such as wider Colorado was) with Kyle and it was just making itself known?

"You're such a dork Stan," Kyle teased, and wrapped his arms around Stan's waist as he hugged him teasingly. "But you're an adorable dork." He laughed, noting that he really couldn't keep his hands off the other boy, no matter how much he knew he needed to.

"Not sure how I feel about being called adorable," Stan mused wanly; most football players weren't considered adorable, y'know, unless they were still in primary school and suchlike. "So... You got everything all sorted and ready to go then?" he asked his boyfriend.
